The Board of Trustees is recommending a change to the organizational structure of the Essex Library Association. Members will vote at the Annual Meeting on October 27, 2025 at 6:00 p.m. to amend the Certification of Incorporation to designate the Board of Trustees as the governing body.
This change will update the Association’s structure in line with current best practices for non-profits. The Board of Trustees, the Bylaws Committee and our attorney, Thomas Marrion from Hinckley Allen, have researched and discussed this change over the past several years and have concluded that this change will promote organizational efficiency and clarity.
