To help people who care for those with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia, the Alzheimer’s Association Connecticut Chapter facilitates about 90 support groups around the state. People talk about their experiences and offer suggestions to deal with topics including medical, legal, behavioral and financial problems.

Italian Conversation Group

Ciao! Buongiorno! Buonasera! Come to the Library on Wednesdays at 3 pm to converse with other beginner to intermediate Italian speakers in a supportive environment, led by a former Italian professor.
Needlework Group

Knit, crochet, embroider, needlepoint, and more are welcome! Come and do needlework with other craft enthusiasts. Bring your crafts, your works in progress, your finished pieces, your patterns, and craft along with others while swapping tips, tricks, and conversation.

Are you a writer? Do you struggle to find a quiet place to work? The library has set aside a block of time and a place just for you! No prompts. No critiques. Just write! All levels and all genres welcome.
This is a drop-in program that does not require registration. This group meets on the second and fourth Wednesday at 9:00 a.m. and the third Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. in the library’s conference room.
